HyperVent - A Better Way to Manage Moisture
One of the most annoying
things about owning a boat is the problem of moisture beneath beds
and cushions. We've all experienced the results of condensation
- mold and mildew, dampness and the annoying odor just come with
the territory. Most of us accept the problem as inevitable and try
to treat the symptoms. Drying bedding above deck is weather dependent.
Plastic sheeting and other waterproofing materials may keep the
mattress dry but can eventually promote damage. Sprays to eliminate
staining and odors are only "Band-Aids" after the damage
is done. Finally, there is a solution: HyperVent.

Proven to Reduce Moisture
Damage
The unique construction of
HyperVent is key to its success. The matrix is 95% open and allows air
to continuously circulate through the material. The mat is lightweight
and flexible,
yet rigid enough to hold its
shape indefinitely. HyperVent prevents dampness and the accompanying annoyances
including mildew and odor in two ways: 1. it allows warming of the mattress
- supporting surface by permitting relatively warm air to circulate under
the mattress or cushions, thereby minimizing an essential condition for
condensation, 2. The circulating air promotes evaporation of moisture.
Hypervent features:
- Elevates bedding 3/4"
and allows nearly unobstructed airflow.
- Easily cut with scissors
- 3" fabric flap
for simple seaming
- Excellent durability

- Lightweight
- Flexible enough to
fit through tight passageways
- Virtually maintenance
free
- Cleans with soap and
water

Latex has inherent qualities
that make it the perfect cushioning material. Unlike polyurethane base
foams, latex dynamically conforms to the body providing optimal support
in any sleep position. Latex also offers superior pressure relief eliminating
the pinches and pains that cause discomfort while sleeping. Latex mattresses
are known worldwide for their superior comfort and durability. In Europe,
latex mattresses account for 80% of the high-end bedding market.
Anti-Microbial,
Dust Mite and Mildew Resistant
Latex is anti-microbial, dust
mite resistant and mildew resistant. Mold, mildew, staphylococcus and
other bacteria simply cannot live in latex foam, making it the ideal choice
for high humidity environments. Plus, latex is breathable! The thousands
of tiny air channels provide natural breathabilty and optimal air circulation
giving you a cooler, more restful night's sleep.

Viscolux
Sandwich Mattresses - Ultimate Contour and Support

Visco
elastic foam laminate responds to pressure but quickly rebounds
to its original shape.

S & S Fabric Products
offers the revolutionary Viscolux elastic foam laminate as
a sandwich bedding solution. The Viscolux material responds
and conforms to body shape, but it's "memory" quickly
reshapes the mattress to its original form. Combined with standard
high and medium density polyurethane layers, the Viscolux
core provides the ultimate in support.
Mattresses produced with
Viscolux reduce pressure better than most traditional mattresses.
Testing done on the ErgoCheck, measuring the ratio between body
weight and surface contact, reveals that Viscolux reduces pressure
and thereby improves circulation.
Temperature-smart foam
relaxes according to body heat and dynamics. As heat is applied,
the foam molds to body contours. Throughout the night, it continuously
self-adjusts. In the morning, Viscolux rejuvenates within minutes.
